Directions
The Radnor Hunt Races take place on the W. Burling Cocks Memorial Racecourse at Radnor Hunt, located at:

Important Race Day Note
The Radnor Hunt Races are held at Radnor Hunt, 826 Providence Road, Malvern, PA 19355.
Please be sure your GPS is directing you to the racecourse before departing for the event.
Via I-476 (The Blue Route)
Take Exit 9 (West Chester Pike – PA Route 3) and travel west. Proceed approximately 6 miles through Broomall and Newtown Square to the traffic light at Providence Road.
Turn right onto Providence Road and continue approximately 2 miles. Radnor Hunt will be on the left.
Via I-76 (The Pennsylvania Turnpike)
Take Exit 326 and follow signs for US Route 202 South.
Take US Route 202 South and exit at PA Route 252 South toward Paoli. Follow PA Route 252 for approximately 7 miles to the traffic light at Goshen Road.
Turn right onto Goshen Road and continue approximately 3.4 miles to the stop sign at Providence Road. Turn right and continue approximately 1 mile. Radnor Hunt will be on the left.
From the South
Travel north on US Route 202 toward West Chester. Exit at PA Route 3 (West Chester Pike) and proceed east toward Newtown Square.
Continue on West Chester Pike for approximately 6 miles to the traffic light at Providence Road. Turn left onto Providence Road and continue approximately 2 miles. Radnor Hunt will be on the left.
Things to Know Before Race Day
Arrive Early
Race day traffic can be heavy. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and should plan to be on the grounds by 11:00 a.m.
Dress for the Grounds
The Races are held outdoors on grass. Flat or comfortable shoes are recommended.
Attire traditionally becomes somewhat more formal closer to the clubhouse, where sports jackets, dresses, and race-day hats are common, but guests are encouraged to dress at their own comfort level.
Be prepared for changing weather, including sun, rain, and breezy conditions.
Keep Your Credentials With You
Guests should keep their patron admission ticket or ribbon with them at all times while in credentialed areas.
All vehicles must display the appropriate parking pass for their designated area.
Children
Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult in all tailgating areas.
Leave Pets at Home
Pets are not permitted on the grounds, with the exception of service animals.
No Drones
For the safety of horses, riders, and spectators, the Radnor Hunt Races are a NO DRONE ZONE. Unauthorized drones are prohibited and subject to confiscation.
Race Day Rules
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable day for horses, riders, and guests, please observe the following policies.
Alcohol
Please drink responsibly and do not drink and drive.
The Radnor Hunt Races maintain a zero-tolerance policy for underage drinking. Guests should be prepared to show identification.
No one who appears intoxicated will be admitted to the grounds, and intoxicated guests may be asked to leave.
Not permitted:
- Kegs
- Drinking games
- Glass containers or dishes of any kind
Guests are encouraged to arrange transportation in advance with members of their party, a taxi service, or a rideshare provider.
Tailgating & Conduct
Please be courteous to neighboring patrons and others enjoying the day.
The following are not permitted:
- Amplified bands or DJs
- Inflatable climbing walls, slides, obstacle courses, or similar devices
- Fireworks or pyrotechnics
- Firearms
- Advertising banners or signs
- Propane, gas, or charcoal grills
- Open flames, including candles
- Trailers
In-vehicle sound systems must be kept at an acceptable volume.
The sale or promotion of merchandise or services is prohibited unless authorized by the Radnor Hunt Races Committee as part of an approved sponsorship.
The promotion of other non-profits or political candidates or viewpoints is expressly prohibited.
Vehicles
Vehicles larger than a minivan, SUV, or standard-size pickup truck are not permitted in standard parking spaces.
All vehicles in reserved parking areas must fit completely within their designated space.
Buses, limousines, motor coaches, trailers, and other oversized vehicles are not permitted without prior approval from the Radnor Hunt Races office.
Track Crossings
For the safety of horses, riders, and spectators, track crossings close at the beginning of each race and remain closed until race officials permit them to reopen.
Guests parked in the infield who wish to leave early must wait until crossings reopen between races.
On the Grounds
Parking & Accessibility
All vehicles must display the appropriate parking pass for their designated area.
Guests should keep patron ribbons with them and be prepared to show credentials at entrances throughout the day.
Many parking areas where patrons drive directly to their reserved space are ADA accessible.
Patrons parking near the clubhouse should show parking staff their Disability Parking Placard, and staff will direct them to the appropriate accessible parking area.
Please be aware that portions of the racecourse require travel over grass, unpaved surfaces, and uneven ground.
Medical & Security
For a serious medical or security emergency, call 911 immediately.
A response team is located on site.
For less serious medical needs, an ambulance and first aid station are located on the hillside near the tennis courts.
If you do not have access to a phone, seek assistance from event personnel.
Transportation

No vehicles may be left on the grounds overnight. Vehicles remaining overnight are subject to towing at the owner's expense.

What should I wear?
